IIM is one of the few institutes in India to be given European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This institute is known for its two-year, full-time, residential flagship PGP (also known as MBA) programme that offers admission based on a valid CAT score. Every year, about 90 students come to India to study at IIM Ahmedabad through its Student Exchange Programmes (SEPs) and around 150 students get a chance to visit abroad. Admission

IIM Ahmedabad offers courses at postgraduate and doctorate levels. Admission to the institute is primarily based on entrance examinations like GMAT, GRE, CAT or GATE as per the respective course. The final admission is done on the basis of Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) from the candidates who have a valid CAT score. Candidates are required to register for CAT entrance examination and fulfill the IIM Ahmedabad admission criteria to be eligible for admission.
